What’s in a brand?

All these weekly “special deal” emails from Dell don’t make it special any more. It seems like there’s a Dell sales event every week, which definetely takes the “special” out of the equation.

Dell should look to Apple for discounting strategies, which only has one or two special pricing days the entire year (black Friday, for example). So when Apple has a discount, you know you’re really getting a deal vs Dell’s weekly discount bonanza (that only works to devalue the brand).
